And are all people that have a real estate license REALTORS®?
And … do all licensees have access to the MLS™?
What exactly is the MLS™?

We will attempt to answer all these questions as briefly as possible, but without leaving you any doubts as to their answers … fair?

A REALTOR® is a person that is a Member “in Good Standing” with the National Association of REALTORS®, an advocate group for fair and equal housing for everyone, as well as a guardian of private property rights. Without a group such as NAR (for short) those wanting to take advantage of you and the American Dream of Home Ownership would have long ago destroyed the chance for all of us to own property, just as it is in many Countries.

Really, there are Countries you can’t own real estate? Yes! Many Countries have control over the land very tightly held within their Governments. We literally allow anyone in the World to buy and sell real estate in the United States of America (so if anyone asks what makes America so Great – well that’s an important one). The fact that we don’t have the same the restrictions held against us can be traced back to REALTORS® and their fight against the Globalists agenda to take away private property rights.

NO – not all Licensees in Florida – or around the World where a REALTOR® can be found are REALTORS®. You must be a member in good standing of NAR or it’s representative entity in other areas of the world. So not all Licensees are the same. REALTORS® for the most part are very excited to become further educated in their fields and strive to do a better job for you the consumer. No no no – I’m not pitching NAR here – what I’m saying is what I know after being a REALTOR® for the last 20 years now. I’ve met 1,000’s of agents throughout that time, so what I’m saying does in fact ring very true in the halls of our Local Association.

It’s important to expand on that point of Local versus National REALTORS®. There are actually three levels of support and advocacy, that’s how serious we take private property rights. There is a Local Association. Hundreds in Florida alone. There’s the State level of Florida REALTORS®, and the national level of which was mentioned above, NAR. So when a REALTOR® is on your side, it IS a multi-level group advocating for your rights.

NO – just like not all Licensees are REALTORS®, neither are all Licensees members of the Local MLS™.

So what is the MLS™? The MLS™, or Multiple Listing Service™, is a system that allows for “cooperating Brokers” to share listing information between themselves in order to give a Seller more eyes on the property they are wishing to sell, but also as a benefit of this, it allows more Buyers to see MORE properties listed, making it a WIN-WIN-WIN-WIN for everyone involved.

Fair Market Value (FMV) is derived by a Buyer and Seller coming to an agreement on the price to purchase and to sell. The greatest value to purchase is simply not going to come about if a hand full of people see your property that you are wanting to sell. You need to let as many people as possible to take a look, and not only that, but a good deep look. That’s why the Listing Form is so deep and informed. A couple of stale pictures and a few words and you are sure to attract a small crowd of Buyers and likely “going to leave money on the table” if you do that and so the MLS™ provides the Seller an opportunity to get as much data, as many images, and because over 90% – yes Over 90% – of all “qualified” buyers that end up Buying use a REALTOR®, by just using a FSBO service or Zillow® to “list” your home, you are literally leaving 90% of the Buyers out of the loop. AND – those two services WILL try to get you to list through their cooperating Broker network on the MLS for MORE than what we are offering to you here at MORE Realty Services LLC.

YES … Don Johnson is a REALTOR® and has been since the year 2000, so for twenty (20) years now. Just as the State designates that “ALL” business belongs to the Broker, so does being a REALTOR® fall upon the Broker being the Primary Agent for that firm. I run a “boutique” Brokerage, meaning small firm. My desire is to be more attentive to your needs than to have thousands of transactions.
